Cedric Villani is a French mathematician, having the Fields Medal and award winner of the Doob’s price in 2014. Professor at the Université of Lyon, he has been an Invited Lecturer of Berkeley’s University, Princeton’s University and GeorgiaTech, then chief executive of the Institut Henri Poincarré in Paris from 2009 to 2017. He resigned while he became member of the French Parliament. There, he chairs the parliamentary office for evaluating scientific and technological choices.
Indeed, Cedric Villani has always been involved in relations between Science and Society. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences and of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. He gave lectures in more than 70 countries, published many volumes, of which the best seller Birth of a Theorem translated in 12 languages. He attends many scientific councils from public or private institutions as the European Commission, or Atos, Orange, BCG.
Cedric Villani is a former student from the Ecole Normale Supérieure Ulm, has a doctorate in Mathematics, and is authorized to oversee academic research. He is doctorate honoris causa from many universities of which HEC Paris. He has been decorated with the awards of « Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur » and vice president of Europa Nova.

Luc Marta de Andrade started his career as a business engineer and then an agency and regional manager for large digital services companies. In 1997 he went out on his own and since that time has created several companies. He is now president of two digital consulting companies: U-need (150 employees) and Dragon.Trust (dedicated to cybersecurity). He is a former regional delegate to the Syntec Numérique (professional branch), and is currently on the steering committee of the Medef de Haute Garonne (employer’s association). He is also the co-founder of AN21, a modern school offering work-linked training (Masters 1 and 2) in software development, AI and Cybersecurity. He is the founder and president of NXU, a think tank dedicated to studying the NBIC revolution and its impact on the future of society.

A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris and holder of a DEA in AI, François-Marie is SopraSteria’s AI Technology Champion and in charge of the Data / IA mission at the Aerospace Valley cluster. He also leads the economic development section of the 3IA ANITI (aniti.fr).
After starting his career in the first French AI company in the 80’s, he joined ArcelorMittal to develop AI systems for industrial processes. He leads the AI works of theSACHEM project for process control assistance, one of the largest civil AI projects of the 2000s. In 2004, he founded and manages his R&D Center dedicated to knowledge technologies.
His work mainly concerns the operational implementation of AI techniques from laboratories.

Thierry Berthier est un expert, consultant, chercheur reconnu en cybersécurité & cyberdéfense. Docteur en mathématiques (cryptographie et théorie des nombres), il enseigne la sécurité numérique à l’Université et est chercheur associé au CREC Saint-Cyr. Membre actif de la Chaire de cyberdéfense Saint-Cyr, de l’Institut Fredrik Bull et de plusieurs think tank français, il codirige le groupe « Sécurité – Intelligence Artificielle » du Hub national France IA qui travaille sur la sécurité de l’intelligence artificielle et les apports de l’IA en cybersécurité.
Ses recherches s’appliquent aux stratégies algorithmiques et à la détection automatique des architectures de données fictives utilisées en phase initiale de cyberattaque. Il étudie en particulier les solutions de lutte contre les attaques par HoaxCrash, arnaques au Président et faux ordres de virement, basées sur la construction de faux profils, de fausses données et de fake news.
Il participe à de nombreuses conférences, colloques et tables rondes dédiés à la cybersécurité et à l’intelligence artificielle s’appliquant à des contextes civils et militaires. Auteur du livre « From Digital Traces to Algorithmic Projections » publié aux éditions ISTE & Elsevier, il a défini les nouveaux concepts de projection algorithmique d’un individu, de niveau d’ubiquité et de consentement algorithmique.
Ses nombreuses publications dans des revues scientifiques et dans la plupart des grands médias nationaux (presse, radio) font de lui un expert capable de communiquer efficacement auprès de tout type de public et de « vulgariser » quand il le faut. After a PhD thesis in Computer Science at LRI and post-doctoral stays at GMD Sankt Augustin and the University of Fribourg, Nicolas Roussel worked as an associate professor (lecturer) at Paris-Sud University and a senior researcher (research director) at Inria Lille – Nord Europe. He has been the director of the Inria Bordeaux – Sud-Ouest research center since July 2017.
His research lies in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, with specific interests in computer-mediated communication and groupware, engineering of interactive systems, graphical interaction, tactile and gestural interaction, and human interactions with AI systems.

Luc Truntzler is an expert in Human-To-Machine interface solutions, from chatbots where he led a pioneer company in that field for 10 years to social robots where he is now contributing to the business development of artificial creatures that can analyse and simulate emotions and face expressions (NLP, Speech recognition & synthesis, Computer vision, Multi-agent systems and IA Ethics).
Marjorie Allain-Moulet has been an AI and Big Data specialist in CS Group since 2014. Before that, she worked for 20 years successively in Dassault Data Services, Business & Decision and CS Group as a consultant in Information System, for various customers in Energy, Defense, Communication, Transport and Aeronautics.
Graduated in 1993 with a doctorate in Machine Learning from Orsay’s laboratory, she was a key actor in developping the Data Science and Big Data competence center at CS group. Since 2014 she has been in charge of developing R&D activities like the IKATS project dealing with Analysing Time Series upon a Big Data architecture.
In July 2019, Marjorie integrated ANITI as the industrial co-pilot, with Leila Amgoud, of the integrative program on Acceptable AI. Active member of the ‘Elles Bougent’ Association, she’s also in charge of animating the ANITI’s mixed commission along with Mohamed Kaaniche.

Eric Bruni is a General officer of the French Military Armament Corps. On November, 1st 2020, he was appointed chief of Intelligence Campus, the innovation branch of the French Ministry for the Armed Forces intelligence service, DRM. Previously, he was in charge of different activities in the armament procurement agency (DGA) mainly in the field of C4ISR, security, cooperation and export support.
Intelligence Campus has two main roles : the first is to experiment off-the-shelf technologies provided by startups, companies or research institutes for the direct benefit of the operational users and the second is to liaise with external experts and researchers in many fields in order to capture their knowledge and deliver it to intelligence analysts. For that purpose, AI is a key technology, already implemented in different applications used in military intelligence, and is a must in order to cope with the flow of data, either open or proprietary.

Cyril Kabbara, co-founder of the French SME Shark Robotics, spent nine years working in intelligence in the French army before studying for a master’s degree in economic intelligence in Paris. The company he co-founded, Shark Robotics, has developed a robot named Colossus that has been successfully integrated into more than 10 fire brigades in Europe, and helped save Paris’ Notre Dame Cathedral when flames engulfed its roof in 2019.
Emmanuel Bacry graduated from ENS (Ulm) and obtained in 1992 a PhD in Mathematics and in 1996 the Habilitation à diriger des recherches. He is currently Senior Research Fellow at CNRS at Paris-Dauphine University, Scientific Director of the french Health Data Hub and Director of Data / Health projects at the Ecole Polytechnique where he directed for more than 4 years the Big Data & Data Science.
He is one of the main organizers of the largest French summer school on AI (DS3) on the campus of the Ecole Polytechnique.
His research has always been guided by a constant concern for applications, particularly in statistical finance, sustainable development and health.
Since 2015, he has led a partnership between Ecole Polytechnique and the national institution CNAM to develop Big Data methodologies based on SNDS (one of the largest medico-administrative databases in the world).

A former graduate from École Normale Supérieure, she holds a PhD from University of Grenoble. She was Professor at the University of Paris 11-Orsay, where she was advisor to 20 PhDs (neural networks, deep learning). She then funded a startup (Mimetics to develop a neural-network based OCR product) to later join Atos (as head of a data mining – data warehouse group) and Business & Decision (as Partner) where she created and headed the CRM business unit. At KXEN, she has been Vice President Innovation until the company was bought out by SAP. She is/has been an expert for the European Commission, ANR (French National Research Agency), French Competitivity cluster Cap Digital and CCF Big Data Task Force (China). Bertrand Monthubert is Regional Councillor of Occitanie in charge of Higher Education and Research and President of Occitanie Data and OPenIG. In addition to monitoring the Regional Plan for Higher Education and Research, he particularly follows the development of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. He thus contributed to the creation of Occitanie Data, which brings together 19 members (companies, clusters, public institutions) to develop the data economy in an ethical and sovereign framework. Nicolas Miailhe co-founded The Future Society (TFS) in 2014 and originally incubated it at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Sebastien Jardin is working in the Security & Safety sector since 2015. At the beginning focused on intelligent video analytics working with law enforcement & sensitive sites on key subjects (facial recognition, perimeter protection, access control, forensic enhancement…), he moved to cyber security in 2017 taking the lead of the IBM France Cyber Security Ecosystem team in 2018. He’s been awarded on these Security & Safety topics being invited as speaker in conferences and awarded two times at the French Security Trophy.
Sebastien is now the Business Development Director for IBM Security in France and works to promote towards C-Levels the necessity of adopting a cyber business reflex because « digital transformation is an unstoppable wave that will come back to us as backfire and will cost a lot to companies if cyber security is not considered in the projects from their very beginning ».

Doctor of Mathematics in 1992, he began his professional career at the CEA as a research engineer and then focused on the development and management of innovation projects. First within Bertin Technologies, where he created and led for more than 10 years a business unit dedicated to the design of diagnostic and decision support tools, then as an advisor to several start-ups and SME. In 2014, he led the creation of the first Mutual Innovation Platform labeled by the French state whose purpose was the development of decision support systems for the farmer. Robustness issues or even certification of these tools have always been a key factor in acceptability. This is especially the case for AI, considered as a « black box ».

Since 2010, he was serving at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he participated and led some audit missions on various public policies for the Government. He was seconded as an expert on economic topics in the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Trade, and he hold the position of Chief of Operating Officer of the French-African Foundation for a shared growth, aimed at fostering economic partnerships through a network of African and French businessmen.
He served previously as a senior supply officer in the French Navy for almost 15 years. Stéphanie Limouzin, an engineer in agronomics (food industry), graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). After heading up a business unit at ALCIMED, a company specializing in sectors driven by innovation, life sciences (biotech, healthcare, food), energy, environment, aeronautics, chemicals, cosmetics, materials, building, transportation, space and defence—she joined CLS as project coordination manager for space oceanography in 2009. CLS, a subsidiary of the French space agency CNES, is a global company and pioneering provider of Earth monitoring and surveillance solutions founded in 1986. Stéphanie Limouzin has since moved from head of space oceanography to Chief Business Development Officer. Stéphanie Allassonnière is Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Paris School of Medicine. She received her PhD degree in Applied Mathematics (2007), studied one year as postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Imaging Science at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. She joined the Applied Mathematics department of Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 2008 as assistant professor and was recruited as Professor in the University of Paris school of medicine in 2016. She is also part time associate Professor at Ecole Polytechnique. She was granted a research Chair of the Pr[AI]rie Institute in 2019 and is deputy director for the health curriculum. Her researches focus on statistical modeling and analysis of medical databases in order to: understanding the common features of populations, designing classification, early prediction and decision support systems.

Thomas Schiex is a computer scientist and a computational biologist. He obtained his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Toulouse in 1991, as a graduate of the « École Centrale de Paris ». His work has a strong emphasis on automated reasoning and its interactions with Machine Learning, especially probabilistic reasoning. Automated reasoning targets the resolution of complex puzzles: the algorithms developed in his lab can solve the most devilish Sudoku grids in less than a millisecond, can learn the rules of Sudoku from examples but also solve much harder and more serious puzzles (but many others are still too hard and cannot be solved).
On the computational biology side, Thomas initiated the development of computer programs that have been massively used in biology, in genetics and genomics. These tools have been used to analyze the genomes of many bacterial, animal and plant genomes (including his own favorite, cocoa). More recently, he started to use the AI algorithms developed in his lab to tackle a very serious puzzle: organizing atoms to design new molecules (proteins) that could then act as nano-agents in the real word. Through collaborations with biochemists and protein engineering specialists (from Belgium and Japan), this work led to the design of a new symmetric self assembling protein. He is now involved in collaborations with the Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI), the Toulouse White Biotechnology (TWB) consortium, the Centre de recherche sur le Cancer de Toulouse (CRCT) and a few biotech startups in the design of new proteins, from improved antibodies to environmental friendly enzymes , e.g. for waste processing.
Thomas has a chair in the Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute (ANITI), he is associate editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal and editor of the Award Winning paper track of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR). He is a fellow of the European Association for AI (EurAI), and of the Association for the Advancement of AI (AAAI) as well as a recipient of the ACP Distinguished Service Award. He is currently smiling internally at the idea of writing a text about himself at the third person while he should instead be writing the names of so many collaborators.
Prof. Olga Battaïa holds the position of Associate Dean for Research at Kedge Business School where she is also a Full Professor at the Department of Operations Management and Information Systems. Her research and teaching activities are focused on the improvement of the performances of Manufacturing Systems and Supply Chains. She is involved in the development of new methodologies using Decision Support, Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence for design and optimisation in manufacturing and logistics. Olga Battaïa co-authored about 200 scientific publications, participated in several European research projects, coordinated research projects with industry and was involved in organizing several renowned international conferences across Europe and other countries. Olivier Pagès is an engineer (ICAM of Lille) and also holds an MBA in Finance (HEC). For 5 years he worked for a business firm specialized in the takeover of companies in difficulty (JL BORLOO law firm).
At the end of 1990, he was Director of the European Development at LPR in Toulouse, a wooden pallets rental service for the food industry.
At the beginning of 2000, he became Deputy CEO of the group. He then created Pick-and-Go in the field of plastic pallet pooling and realized the need to track mobile assets.
It is then in June 2015 that he created ffly4u after having validated the approach by a first pilot in 2014 with the CASINO group.

Jean-Jacques Toumazet started his career in Thales as project manager on real time simulators. He has then been one the founder of the OKTAL Company where he developed several simulators for aircrafts, trains, and cars. He joined AIRBUS in 2001 and spent more than ten years managing research and technology for simulation, model based system engineering, and aircraft avionics. Jean-Jacques joined then as a technical architect the ATTOL (Autonomous Taxi, Take Off, and Landing) demonstrator that successfully flew an AIRBUS aircraft without any pilot interaction, only based on sensors and computer vision software.
Jean-Jacques has an engineering degree in Automatics and Electronics from INSA Toulouse, a Master degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from Paul Sabatier University, and a DEA in Automatics. He has also spent one year in University of Pennsylvania as an Image Processing researcher.

Experienced in Machine Learning, Reasoning and Real-Time Systems in international environments (17 years in USA & Canada), Jean-Marie is passionate about helping people find creative and simple solutions to challenging problems.
In 1998, Fabien obtained both a Master Sciences in Engineering from CentraleSupelec and a Master Sciences in Research in Solid Physics from University Pierre et Marie Curie. He started his career developing physical models (granular media, thermodynamics, engine control, electromagnetics) for various industrial applications (automotive, aeronautics, space). He joined the corporate research center of Airbus in 2000. In 2007, he took the lead of the R&T department in applied mathematics to develop advanced methods in physical modelling, optimization, CAD/CAE, High Performance Computing, Probabilistic & Statistical Modelling and Model-based systems Engineering. When he left Airbus in 2017, he was in charge of the Roadmap in Applied Mathematics &numerical methods at Group level. He was involved in the screening and development of strategic partnerships in Europe and abroad (India/Russia).
In 2018, he joined Renault as an expert in statistics (durability/reliability, robust engineering, data analytics, V&V of autonomous vehicles) and leads the data roadmap for the quality department.

Fabien Bardinet is an aviation fan and a robotics enthusiast. Before joining Balyo, Fabien served as a vice president at Aldebaran Robotics, a specialized humanoid robotic firm, where he worked alongside its founder, Bruno Maisonnier. For six years, Fabien participated in the development of this world champion by managing Operations until the company got sold to a Japanese Industrial. In 2012, Fabien founded a start-up on connected objects.

He has held several positions of responsibility in the areas of public policy and health. Grégoire Mercier, M.D., Ph.D., is the founder and current head of the Data Science Unit at Montpellier University Hospital and a researcher at the CEPEL (CNRS/Montpellier University), a social sciences team primarily focused on public policies. He was a 2018-19 Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on equity in healthcare and on the assessment of healthcare coordination using real world data. Mercier has been the principal investigator on a research project supported by the French Ministry of Health on potentially avoidable hospitalizations. He has developed a new indicator which is now part of the national guidelines on healthcare coordination. He is the co-founder of KanopyMed, a company aimed at improving health care systems through data-driven and population-based decision-support tools. Dr. Bonnefon is a Research Director at the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, affiliated to the Toulouse School of Economics, the Toulouse School of Management, and the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse. Cesar A. Hidalgo is a Chilean-Spanish-American scholar known for his contributions to economic complexity, data visualization, and applied artificial intelligence.
Hidalgo currently holds a Chair at the Artificial and Natural Intelligence Institute (ANITI) at the University of Toulouse. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Manchester and a Visiting Professor at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Between 2010 and 2019 Hidalgo led MIT’s Collective Learning group, climbing through the ranks from Assistant to Associate Professor. Prior to working at MIT, Hidalgo was a research fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Hidalgo is also a founder of Datawheel, an award winning company specialized in the creation of data distribution and visualization systems. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor in Physics from Universidad Católica de Chile.

Nicolas Mansard is Senior Researcher at Gepetto, LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France. He is one of the lead members of the Gepetto team, among 8 permanent researchers and about 25 post-docs and PhD students. Gepetto is recognized for its expertise in legged robotics, and developed the humanoid research platform, strong of 3 full-size humanoid robots and a family of smaller quadrupeds. Nicolas Mansard coordinates the EU project « Memory of Motion » and holds the chair « Artificial and Natural Movement » of the Toulouse AI Lab ANITI. He received the CNRS Bronze Medal and the award of the best computer-science project of the French research agency ANR. Before that, he was visiting researcher at U.Washington, post-doctoral researcher at AIST Japan and Stanford U. and received his PhD from U.Rennes in 2006.
Eleonore Fournier-Tombs is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and the Director of the Inclusive Technology Lab, within the Research Chair on Accountable AI in a Global Context. She lectures in data science at McGill University and Université de Montréal and consults as a data scientist at the World Bank. Her academic work has focused on automated methods for the measurement of political deliberation in the Canadian North and in social media, as well as the impacts of emerging technologies on women, migrants and other vulnerable populations. She is the recipient of the United Nation’s Secretary General Award and has contributed to a number of policy reports involving data and modelling at the United Nations. Julien Chiaroni has been appointed Director of the great Challenges on Artificial Intelligence in the French Innovation Council. He was previously Director of Strategy and Programmes at List, the Institute for digital and artificial intelligence technologies. Liviu Nicu is currently senior scientist at the French National Scientific Research Center and is General Director of the CNRS Systems Analysis and Architecture Laboratory in Toulouse, France. After obtaining his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, he joined Thales Avionics Valence (France) where he took charge of the company’s inertial silicon microsensor projects from 2001 to 2003. He joined the Systems Analysis and Architecture Laboratory since 2003 where he conducted research in the fields of bioMEMS and MEMS for the physical and chemical characterization of advanced functional materials. Jean-François Guégan is a Senior Research Professor “de classe exceptionnelle” at the IRD, now hosted at INRAE, in Montpellier. He has also been an associate Professor and head of teaching units at the University of Montpellier on global change and health for almost 15 years, Professor at the School of Advanced Studies in Public Health (EHESP), Paris, Rennes, and (co-)head of a Masters track (260 hours) of international public health in English (Erasmus Mundus), where he teaches the issue of Advanced Planetary Health. An expert at both the WHO (Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases) and UNEP (Biodiversity and Health), he is also a member of the French National Committee on Global Change (CNFCG) and former member of the High Council for Public Health (HCSP) where he has been in charge of several official State reports, including one on emerging infectious diseases and national preparedness and another one on the consequences of climate change on health (as a President for the French national plan for Adaptation to Climate Change). He was a team leader of joint research unit for 15 years (2000-2015), former head of the Parasitology-Pathology-Microbiology specialty of the Montpellier Doctoral School SIBAGHE, former member of the Scientific Council of Doctoral School at Montpellier (ED 477) and current member of ED 393 Pierre Louis de Santé Publique, Paris. He was a member of the Scientific Committee in Biomathematics, biostatistics, public health and epidemiology (CSS7) at INSERM (2012-2016) and of the Scientific Council and of the Management Committee of the LabEx CEBA (2011-2019) in charge of biodiversity-health transversal research programs.
His fields of research are global change and infectious disease transmission, climate change and emerging infections, biodiversity and emerging infections, and biostatistics. He has been trained in artificial intelligence, and notably on artificial neuronal networks. He holds a PhD in parasitic ecology (1990), a post-doctorate in epidemiology in Great Britain (1990/1991) and an HDR in epidemiology and ecology of infectious disease transmission (2000).
With nearly two years of experience in the Agri-Food, he is involved in the transfer of scientific knowledge to public decision-makers and is a co-organiser of an annual Seminar of the Val-de-Grâce School on the societal, economic, health, political, media consequences of emerging infectious diseases (www.malinfemerg.org). He has directed and participated in many national, European and international research programs on animal/environment-to-human transmission and emerging infectious diseases, and as a member of the UNEP international program FutureEarth he participated to the writing of international reports and resolutions, in particular for the Convention on Biological Diversity and for the WHO. He has published over 182 scientific publications in international journals, has coproduced 11 books (1 in Artificial intelligence), including 5 for higher education, and gave 180 national and international conferences.
For the past 20 years, he has been interested in the consequences of environmental changes, climate change, loss of biological diversity and habitat changes on infectious disease transmission and emerging disease risks. His work has focused on the transmission of measles and whooping cough, cholera, meningitis, avian influenza and West Nile viruses. He is currently working on Buruli ulcer due to Mycobacterium ulcerans, in Western and Central Africa, and Southern America, and he is a co-leader of an US NSF-NIH research program on emerging infectious diseases. At INRAE, he is coordinating an international program on international agricultural transition and emerging disease threats for animals and humans and is a coeditor of the international initiative PREZODE on Prevention of new zoonotic disease threats. Graduate of Telecom Paris, Laurent Gardès has a 20 years experience in the Digital Pay TV Industry where he covered many topics ranging from system architecture to UX and design. Dr. Guillaume Poupard graduated from the École polytechnique in 1992. Having completed a research degree in armament engineering, he started as a PhD candidate in cryptography under the supervision of Jacques Stern at the École normale supérieure in Paris. He received his PhD in 2000 and also holds a university diploma in psychology.
He began his career as a cryptography specialist, later progressing to become Head of the Cryptography Laboratory at the Central Network and Information Security Directorate (Direction Centrale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information, DCSSI) which evolved in 2009 into the French National Cybersecurity Agency(Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information, ANSSI).
In 2006, he joined the Ministry of Defence, continuing in the field of government cryptography before moving to cybersecurity.
In November 2010, he was appointed Head of the Cybersecurity Division within the Technical Branch of the National Defence Procurement Agency (Direction Générale de l’armement, DGA), responsible for expertise and technology policy in the field of cybersecurity.
On 27 March 2014, he was appointed Director-General of the French National Cybersecurity Agency.
Sa carrière en informatique débute en 2000. Il occupe successivement des fonctions d’administrateur système et réseaux (France Telecom), de chargé d’études NTIC (CCI de Nîmes) puis intègre la fonction publique d’état au CNRS. Il y assure pendant 12 ans, les fonctions de responsable informatique et de chargé de sécurité des systèmes d’information dans deux laboratoires de recherche à Caen (GIP Cyceron) puis à Grenoble (CERMAV).

Agé de 51 ans, Emmanuel Chiva a travaillé depuis plus de 20 ans dans les domaines de l’intelligence artificielle et de la simulation militaire. Jusqu’au 31 août 2018, il était cofondateur et directeur général adjoint en charge de la stratégie et du développement de la société AGUERIS, filiale de John Cockerill Defence, société spécialisée dans la simulation opérationnelle et l’entraînement pour les opérateurs de systèmes d’armes.
Normalien, Emmanuel Chiva est docteur en biomathématiques avec une spécialisation en intelligence artificielle et dans le domaine des systèmes complexes et du biomimétisme. Auditeur de la 49e session nationale Armement & économie de défense de l’IHEDN, il a été pendant trois ans vice-président de l’association des auditeurs et cadres des hautes études de l’armement (AED-IHEDN). Il est également capitaine de vaisseau de réserve et a travaillé sur des sujets liés à l’innovation technologique (notamment l’intelligence artificielle) pour l’état-major de la Marine nationale. Emmanuel Chiva a débuté sa carrière en 1997 chez MASA (Mathématiques appliquées SA) Technologies logicielles de simulation – systèmes adaptatifs, intelligence artificielle, et modélisation du comportement humain pour la défense et la sécurité globale où il a exercé les fonctions de directeur général adjoint puis de vice-président exécutif tout en fondant et développant la Business Unit Simulation militaire. MASA (aujourd’hui MASA Group) a notamment réalisé le système SCIPIO d’entraînement des postes de commandement de l’armée de Terre.
En 2007, il est cofondateur et associé de la société SILKAN spécialisée dans le calcul haute performance, les technologies embarquées et la simulation. Depuis 2014, il était en parallèle président de la commission recherche, technologie et innovation du GICAT (groupement des industriels de l’armement terrestre) et président du jury du programme GENERATE d’accompagnement des start-ups innovantes dans le domaine de la défense aéroterrestre et de la sécurité. Florence Lambert a rejoint le CEA en février 2000 et a assumé différentes fonctions managériales liées aux systèmes de stockage d’énergies renouvelables. A partir de 2006, elle a fait partie des fondateurs de l’Institut National de l’Energie Solaire (CEA-INES) et a initié la première plateforme de recherche de stockage stationnaire en Europe.
A partir de 2009, elle a développé la division transport du CEA-LITEN, en se concentrant sur le développement et l’intégration de deux composants majeurs : les batteries lithium-ion et les piles à combustible et a joué un rôle clé dans différents développements de véhicules à faibles émissions de carbone en France.
Depuis 2013, en tant que Directeur de l’Institut CEA-LITEN (1000 chercheurs, http://liten.cea.fr/cea-tech/liten/Pages/Accueil.aspx), elle dirige une équipe couvrant différents domaines technologiques : solaire PV, transport décarboné, hydrogène, cycle du carbone et recyclage des matières.
Cet institut d’innovation focalisé sur les technologies de la Transition Energétique est le 3ème au monde en matière d’effectifs (après le NREL/US et le Fraunhofer-ISE/Allemagne) et le 1er en matière d’inventivité (plus de 210 brevets/an).
Cet institut est au coeur de nombreux projets industriels (SAFT, ACC, Symbio notamment) ou démonstrateurs ambitieux (Energy Observer).
En parallèle, sur le plan institutionnel, et ce dès 2013, elle a été en charge des plans industriels nationaux de stockage de l’énergie, sous la responsabilité du ministère de l’économie (« La nouvelle France Industrielle ») qui a donné lieu aux projets ambitieux actuels et à la feuille de route H2 française présentée en 2018.
En juin 2018, Florence Lambert a été nommée Présidente de la Commission Industrie, Emplois et Innovation lors du Conseil d’Administration du SER.

En février 2019, Florence Lambert est nommée présidente de la conférence mondiale de l’énergie solaire PV, EUPVSEC 2019, à la suite du processus de nomination et de vote du comité consultatif scientifique international, première femme à accéder à cette distinction en 35 ans.
En Mars 2021, elle est nommée « Femme de l’année 2020 » dans la catégorie Innovation par le média Green Univers.

Guillaume Soudain has been working since 2006 as a Software and Airborne Electronic Hardware Expert in the Certification Directorate of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). In 2014, he has been appointed Software Senior Expert and since then is in charge of the coordination of the Software aspects of certification within the Agency.
Guillaume was a member of the EUROCAE WG-71/RTCA SC-205 joint committee in charge of producing the Software standard ED-12C/DO-178C and its associated documents.
He is currently leading the EASA project team for Artificial Intelligence with the objective of implementing the EASA AI roadmap. He is also a member of the joint EUROCAE WG-114/SAE G-34 working group on Artificial Intelligence.
Prior to joining EASA, Guillaume worked for 5 years as Software Engineer in the development of Automatic Flight Control Systems in the European rotorcraft industry.

Victor Vuillard est responsable sécurité du groupe Parrot, premier constructeur européens de drones. En particulier, il a en charge l’intégration de fonctions de sécurité dans les drones afin de répondre aux usages les plus sensibles dans les domaines de la défense, la sécurité publique et plus largement les usages professionnels. Les efforts ainsi menés par Parrot lui permettent d’offrir des drones souverains et de confiance.
Avant de rejoindre Parrot en 2018, il a fait partie de l’ANSSI durant en tant que responsable du Bureau Audits et Inspections, responsable du Groupe d’Intervention Rapide et OSSI adjoint du SGDSN. Il a ensuite rejoint EDF pour créer et gérer l’équipe cybersécurité de l’ingénierie nucléaire où il a participé à la mise en place de la gouvernance cybersécurité pour ses systèmes industriels et défini les mesures visant à protéger les systèmes numériques des centrales nucléaires françaises.

Ana Brandusescu is a researcher, advisor, and facilitator who works on a more publicly accountable use of data and technology. Currently, as the 2019-2021 McConnell Professor of Practice at McGill University, Ana is examining public investments and policy in AI across Canada. She is co-leading “AI for the Rest of Us”, a research project to develop a new model of public (civic) engagement in government decision making processes that are being automated with AI. Ana serves on Canada’s Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Open Government. She is a member of @OpenHeroines and <A+> Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms.
During her time at the World Wide Web Foundation, Ana led research on the implementation and impact of open government data in 115 countries, co-chaired the Measurement and Accountability Group of the international Open Data Charter, and led gender equality research advocacy across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Ana authored blogs, reports, and book chapters on open data, open contracting, data measurement, AI policy, data protection, and gender equity.
McConnell Professor of Practice for CIRM
As the Director of R&D Center at Loft Orbital, Pierre is leading the development of key satellite technologies to serve Loft Orbital’s innovative business model. Loft Orbital enables its customers to fly their payload in orbit as a service through ridesharing on board Loft’s microsatellites.
Before joining Loft Orbital, Pierre was the project manager for the Assembly Line at OneWeb Satellites, where he drove the design and implementation of a fully digital production line outputting two satellites per day.
Pierre graduated from a dual master at MIT, in both aerospace engineering and technology & public policy. His research alongside Professor Dava Newman, former NASA Deputy Administrator, focused on spacesuit mobility and astronaut injury. Pierre has since maintained his passion of human spaceflight. He is the founder of the Space & Shake conferences, inviting keynote speakers of the space industry to inspire French students.
Long distance triathlete and passionate about mountaineering, Pierre enjoys exploration: hiking along the Via Francigena from Chamonix to Rome (1,252km), or flying a manual DR-400 plane from Toulouse to Senegal. Diplômé de Supaero (en 1997) et docteur de INRIA (en 2001), Grégory Flandin a commencé sa carrière chez Airbus Defence & Space dans l’ingénierie des systèmes d’observation de la terre. Il a rejoint l’IRT Saint Exupéry en 2014 où il a monté le centre de compétences en Intelligence Artificielle, le programme de recherche transatlantique DEEL, puis pris la direction des programmes en Intelligence Artificielle pour les systèmes critiques. Il est également responsable du programme intégratif sur l’IA certifiable au sein d’ANITI.

Chantal Soulé-Dupuy is full professor in computer science since 2001. She was director of the Toulouse Doctoral School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Telecommunications for 5 years and Dean of the Information Technology Faculty of the Toulouse Capitole University for 10 years. She is currently Director of the Graduate School of the Toulouse Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Vice-President of the Toulouse Capitole University. She is a specialist in information retrieval, integration and annotation of structured and unstructured information, recommendation systems and prediction explanation. Her research focuses on the consideration of the user in all actions of access and processing of information (contextualization, traces of use, recommendation). She also has a strong experience in managing large-scale heterogeneous information repositories in various application domains (including biology, health, aviation and space). She has supervised 25 PhDs and published more than 100 papers in leading journals, conferences or workshops in the field.

Odilon Faivre graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and holds an M.Sc. from ETSI Industriales in Madrid. Odilon started his carreer in EDF Group in the Energy Management field in Gas and Power. He then worked in the strategy department in London for EDF Energy. After joining Enedis, he had been in charge of smart grids projects management for Enedis in Ile de France.
After going back to university and completing a Master in statistics and data science, Odilon is currently Head of Data Analytics for Distribution in Enedis, a team of data scientists and developers elaborates and industrialize new solutions based on “big data” technologies for power distribution.

Laurence Rouïl is the Director of the strategy, science policy and communication at Ineris (Institut National de l’Environnement Industriel et des Risques).
She received her Ph.D in 1995 in the field of applied mathematics. After a first experience of consultant on numerical systems, she joined Ineris in 1998 and for more than 20 years developed skills and experience in air quality modelling and management, being the leader of research activities closely linked to operational applications. In 2003, she developed with her team the French air pollution forecasting platform, PREV’AIR, a precursor system which is now a reference in Europe. She participated actively to the air quality monitoring and management strategy in France providing technical expertise to the Ministry in charge of the Environment. She is mandated by the Ministry as national head of delegation or competent authority in several international bodies and participated to negotiations related to the definition and implementation of European legislation in the field of air pollution. Since September 2014, she chairs the EMEP Steering Body, the scientific program of the Convention on Long Range Transboundary Air pollution. She has been involved in several European research projects and was very active in the development of the EU Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring services. Development and implementation of machine-learning algorithms to support environmental risk analysis and assessment (and design) of mitigation strategies open new fields of interest for Ineris and will be part of its upcoming science strategy.
Catherine Tessier est maître de recherche à l’ONERA à Toulouse et référente intégrité scientifique et éthique de la recherche de l’ONERA. Elle enseigne à l’ISAE-SUPAERO. Ses recherches portent sur la modélisation de cadres éthiques et sur les questions éthiques liées à l’« autonomie » des robots.
Elle est membre du Comité national pilote d’éthique du numérique et membre du Comité d’éthique de la défense. Elle a fait partie du Groupe d’experts ad hoc mis en place par l’UNESCO en 2020 en vue de l’élaboration d’un instrument sur l’éthique de l’Intelligence Artificielle.
Après une Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles en économie et deux Licences en Droit et sciences politique et en Philosophie, Pauline termine actuellement un Master 2 en Droit du numérique et intelligence artificielle à l’Université Toulouse 1 Capitole et en alternance chez Occitanie Data, où elle est chargée de projet droit du numérique.
Forte de ce parcours universitaire varié, elle s’intéresse particulièrement aux enjeux économiques, sociaux et éthiques dans le domaine du numérique.

Dr. Rachid Alami is Senior Scientist (Directeur de Recherche) at LAAS-CNRS.
He currently holds the the Academic Chair on Cognitive and Interactive Robotics at the Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute (ANITI)
He received an engineer diploma in computer science in 1978 from ENSEEIHT, a Ph.D in Robotics in 1983 from Institut National Polytechnique and an Habilitation HDR in 1996 from Université Paul Sabatier. He contributed and took important responsibilities in several national, European and international research and/or collaborative projects (EUREKA, ESPRIT, ECLA, IST FP5-FP6-FP7, H2020), France: ARA, VAP-RISP for planetary rovers, PROMIP, and several ANR projects).
His main research contributions fall in the fields of Robot Decisional and Control Architectures, Task and motion planning, multi-robot cooperation, and human-robot interaction and collaboration.
Greg Ameyugo heads the Ambient Intelligence and Interactive Systems Division at CEA. With 250 researchers dedicated to AI, Robotics, digital twins, IoT and HMI technologies, Greg’s teams work on new intelligent, interactive robotics paradigms and provide state-of-the art digital technologies to over 100 companies worldwide.
An aerospace engineer by training, Greg holds an engineering doctorate in Aerospace propulsion and technology strategy. From Rolls-Royce to Indra, and Airbus Emerging Technologies and Concepts, Greg led disruptive projects in industry prior to joining CEA.
He has worked with over 300 companies to help bring innovations to market, launched and directed the Innovation Pillar at EIT Manufacturing (210m€), and serves in the board of various initiatives at national and European level. Greg also consults regularly on technology, innovation and business strategy and policy for companies and governments.

Graduated from ICAM (Toulouse), Enzo get a first experience in operational logistics as activity manager for a big agrobusiness company. Passionate by innovation and how they can leverage industry, he joined Daher as project manager in the DaherLab. From 2017 until 2020, he was in charge of PoC Together, call for projects at group scale that permit to collect business needs across all activities. He likes to be attentive to operations, understanding their problems and trying to solve them by implementing technologies such as AI, IoT and many others. In a logic of spreading innovation mindset, Enzo had also the mission to organize Innovation Days, events opened to a large public, going from operators to clients showing Daher’s Innovation strategy.
Since 2021 he has the position of innovation platform manager.
